1950 Cadillac Deville Pictures

Sorry I havent been posting much lately. I took a trip out to Las Vegas where it seems that every other car I saw was a Cadillac. Besides doing some slot machines I was busy taking pictures.

I have had the honor of looking at some new pictures lately. William from California sent in some pics of his 1950 Cadillac Coupe Deville. She sure is a beauty.

It seems that more and more people have been contacting me lately with classic Cadillac questions. I don’t know the reason but I am glad that more people are restoring these Caddilacs back to their original form. It makes the site easier to work on when I have new people writing in.

On another note did anyone see the guy that drove his car from Chicago to New York on one tank of gas. He called his style of driving hypermiling or something like that. It was on the CBS early show. He claims that if you go slower and don’t use the brake as much you can save a lot of gas, but it causes you to get to your destination slower. Guess if you are not in a hurry it is a good thing. Merry Christmas from Santa Clause to all Classic Cadillac Lovers

We all know that Santa lives in Finland. We have learned that at school. All the year he is working hard to build all the toys for the children and at christmas day he is riding his sleigh to bringt the toy to the children all over the world – but stop – Heikki Vainio found out that Santa has changed his sleigh and is now ridding a 1959 Cadillac!

1958 Cadillac Convertible Video by Arild Kolnes

My name is Arild Kolnes and I am the owner of this Cadillac 1958 convertible.
This car is located in Sola, Norway. I bought the car in 1995 as a restoration project. The car was in bad shape. There was a colony of ants in the driver’s door. It was heavily rusted in the floors, rocker channels and under mouldings as well in the trunk. Interior was teared up. It took me nine years to get it back on the road (2004). Well,, I didn’t restore every day, I was from time to time pretty sick of it, but inspiration from magazines,other American car enthusiasts, friends and my wife has kept me ongoing with the restoration. I’m glad it’s done, and can take it for a ride when I feel for it.
