Hello , I am located in the state of Wisconsin in the U.S. I am considering purchasing a 1932 Cadillac LaSalle Sedan. It is in fine show condition and wanted to know what is a fair price? I onwned a 32 Sedan like this a few years ago but it was in only fair condition. It sold for $40K. The one I am considering was a former Pebble Beach Winner. We have not yet discussed the price. The gent that is selling it wants me to come and sit down with him to discuss after I inspect it in person. I am ready to make the flight to see and inspect, but would like to have some idea of a fair price to offer. I feel he wants me to purchase , because I sent pictures of the last Caddy and he does not want it to go to a Museum or to someone that just want to move it fast to make some money. Any assistance would be greatly appriciated. Thanks and Best Regards....Bruce

Hi Dominic, the purpose of the return fuel line is to avoid in slow traffic fuel bubbles ( vapor ) at hot weather conditions, because the fuel is constantly flowing and replaced by colder fuel of the tank. The lack of return line should not cause any issue at your carburator valve ( flooding ) as long as this is in good condition.

best regards

Hi Dominic,
I'm not totally shure but I think this depends upon the carburator which is installed. My 57 Sedan De Ville (6239DX) has a Rochester and only single fuel line. Maybe this helps.

Tell me, I have a 57 4 door 62 sedan which I have restored.
Does the vehicle need a return fuel line, and can the absence of one cause too much fuel intake to the carb ?
