Tell me, I have a 57 4 door 62 sedan which I have restored.
Does the vehicle need a return fuel line, and can the absence of one cause too much fuel intake to the carb ?

Hi Dominic,
I’m not totally shure but I think this depends upon the carburator which is installed. My 57 Sedan De Ville (6239DX) has a Rochester and only single fuel line. Maybe this helps.

Hi Dominic, the purpose of the return fuel line is to avoid in slow traffic fuel bubbles ( vapor ) at hot weather conditions, because the fuel is constantly flowing and replaced by colder fuel of the tank. The lack of return line should not cause any issue at your carburator valve ( flooding ) as long as this is in good condition.
