And here are the the long awaited pictures contributed by Dirk van Dorst. They are not chronological sorted yet but I’m sure you will enjoy them very much.

The Oskarssons from Sweden drove 3500 km and now they share their pictures with us. And back in the USA Mr. Yann Saunders (aka Mr. Cadillac) contributed his pictures.

Jan Ivan and his wife from Norway made the trip to Belgium and contributed their pictures here.

Update: Wolfgang Tauchert and Ulli Müller from Cadillac-Museum, Germany contributed their pictures on CD-ROM. I’ve uploaded them and you can watch them here.

Back from the “Golden Oldies Festival” I have several hundred pictures with me. I’ve uploaded a hand picked “best of” collection into the Golden Oldies 2006 gallery.

I believe there were more Cadillacs and US classics present than last year, but the US classic cars are still exotic in Germany and of course German classic cars dominate the field. I had the opportunity to talk to some Cadillac owners and I even meet one member from the 1958 Cadillac Owner Association from the Netherlands.

Last but not least: A big thanks to our hosts Kathy Jo & Duplo. Kathy Jo joined the petticoat contest and won third place… Congratulation.

So it’s only natural that for this year, we once again would like to welcome all these wonderful people and their fantastic Cadillacs, fully restored or all-original, old and new alike, to come to visit the Kremsegg Castle this Sunday the 27th of August 2006.
In order to emphasize our growing success and establishment as the Cadillac Meeting for Europe, open to all enthusiasts from Europe and beyond, we have adopted the name Cadillac Big Meet, and we hope you will join us in Kremsmünster !

But the exciting news doesn’t end there – we are proud to announce Dr. Kingsize who will be present Saturday evening after the cruise and Sunday he will perform an Elvis show.

Hold on, there’s more to come ! This year we have a motto ‘the Rockin’ 50s’ and a specially themed show of 1950’s Cadillacs.

It would be especially fun if people would turn up Sunday dressed in a fifties theme, so ladies, dig out those picknick dresses and guys, don’t forget the brylcream…

On Saturday 26th of August, the Kremsmünster event kicks off with a cruise through the scenic countryside. Participation is limited to 30, and there will be an Evening « Get Together » for those along for the ride and for the early visitors.

We would definitely advize to register early, as we will have a fun cruise, and a special surprise show in the evening – and who knows what more fun we have in store for you !

But the big day will be Sunday 27th when Cadillacs meet in the Park of the Kremsegg Castle. All years are welcome and we expect a great turnout this third time !

Important to note is that everybody is welcome, no pre-registrations are necessary (except for the Saturday cruise of course).

There will be a separate VIP parking place on the event area for all visitors arriving with other American cars.

For the first time, this meeting will now be free for visitors – good to know if your Cadillac is being restored but you still want to be part of the fun !

This proves to become an even more exciting show, once again more Cadillac collectors will be present, and the participation of Cadillac clubs from several surrounding countries has been guaranteed.
Auto Günther, our main sponsor, will have all the new Cadillacs on display and you can testdrive them all for about half an hour.
You can also win a Cadillac XLR for one whole day!

Kremsmünster is located about 30km southwest of Linz, Austria.
